Promoter, Evangelist, Lead & Sales Generator

We are looking for a motivated, aggressive promoter and sales/lead generator for our compressed t-shirt and promotional screen-printing company (www.teecompressed.com).

We are looking for a go-getter who can be our “air-traffic controller” and execute on our sales and marketing plans.

Compensation is base salary plus commission.

This job involves researching and pursuing a wide range of areas for potential sales and business growth: new customers & companies, new promotion methods and new industries or markets.

You are responsible for generating new visibility and buzz in creative ways, generating and following leads and making sales.

Some examples of methods for conducting research and generating leads and sales:

  • online methods using social media networking, blogging and emailing, etc.
  • traditional methods, such as phone calls, letters, sending samples and basic follow-up.

You must be an outgoing people person who loves to make connections and network. Must be very detail oriented, self-motivated and resourceful and driven to follow-thru with plans. Must be able to work independently.

Experience is not necessary; just be eager to learn and dependable.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience using social media and networking (stumbleupon, digg, twitter, linkedin)
  • Experience blogging – creative writing and blogging tools - Wordpress – ability to write content and format attractive HTML/CSS posts etc.

Web Developer / Programmer (mid-level)

Our web and graphic design company is seeking an awesome Web Developer to join us. We are a small agency with big clients.Our offices are located in Encinitas, just a few blocks from the beach.

We work hard but like to have fun. We honestly love what we do and are looking for a mature and responsible, career-minded programmer who fits in with our group. We have a lot of projects and a lot of creative ideas and we need that ambitious developer to execute, follow-through and finish sites quickly and on-time.

We’re not looking for an entry-level developer, but we’re not looking for Bill Gates either, so if you fit somewhere in the middle and are confident of your skills and experience then let us know.

Requirements:

  1. Ability to code pages using structured, valid and clean HTML (without use of WYSIWYG editors)
  2. Strong CSS ability
  3. Experience using the latest versions of Dreamweaver and Photoshop
  4. Experience developing sites that are cross-platform/cross-browser compatible

  6. MySQL
  7. Javascript & DHTML for dynamic navigation, buttons and interactive pages (Jquery etc)

Web & Graphic Design Production Assistant

Part-Time or Full-Time - flexible schedule

Our full service web and graphic design agency is seeking a part-time reliable assistant to handle a wide-range of duties. We are looking for a go-getter who can be our “air-traffic controller” and get things done. If this was a movie-set, you’d be our production assistant.

Ideally, we’d like someone who is a student or recent graduate in web, graphic design or marketing/sales. This is not a graphic design or programming position but input on client projects may be welcome. Design or programming experience is not required but is beneficial.

Experience is not necessary; just be eager to learn and dependable. Must be extremely detail oriented, enthusiastic and able to work independently to get the job done.

Some duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Provide administrative support
  • Assist with expense and sales report preparation
  • Procure supplies and materials for client projects

Account Executive – Responsible for New Business Development

WHO WE ARE: Durrani, headquartered in beautiful Encinitas, is a creative design agency specializing in graphic design, print and web development. Durrani was established in 2005 to provide solutions for businesses who aim at making a strong presence both online and offline in today’s market place.

WHAT WE WANT: Our office is seeking an experienced sales professional for an Account Executive opportunity. This position will focus on new business development for San Diego, Orange and LA Counties, and will require a combination of inside and outside sales.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING IT:
• Ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience in a consultative sales position, ideally in web, e-commerce, print advertising, creative design and related industries
• Four year college degree preferred but not required
• Strong computer competency and writing skills required
• You should be comfortable conversing with business owners and decision-makers
• Strong cold-calling discipline a must

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

BE ORGANIZED - you will need to organize a daily call plan from a variety of resources and tools provided to you. This is not a cookie cutter call plan that can be thrown together in 5 minutes. You will need to think through your strategy daily and organize new information daily, weekly, and quarterly.

BE SELF-MOTIVATED - Most of your calls will be cold calls. You have to make the calls every day, 5 days per week to see results. You will be on the phones 3 to 5 hours per day with some of your day in the field.

BE PATIENT - It will take several conversations for you to gain the trust of your prospects. This is not a "one call close". A typical sales cycle could run 2 days to 2 months.

BE PERSONABLE - Durrani is a relationship-based company with excellent solutions to offer our customers. However, prospects still buy from a person. You will need to connect with your prospects on a personal level in order to succeed in this position.

HAVE INTEGRITY- You will need to tell the truth, follow up, and do what you say you are going to do…this is non-negotiable!

YOUR TECHNIQUE- You will receive sales support resources and tools from us to help you be successful in your job. However, a script is only as good as the person who uses it. You will need to come to the table with your own ideas and skills - ready to incorporate those with the training we provide. This is a consultative selling model, and will require a variety of techniques and approaches to the sale.

BE DETERMINED- You will have to bring your “A” game every day to this job. Your success will directly correlate with the work you put in. This is not an 8 to 5 job. You may need to put in 10 to 12 hour days in your first year to achieve your goals. You must be prepared to work hard every day, and come back the next day ready to do it all over again.

SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER – We are seeking a new senior graphic designer for our creative graphic design and web development company. Our new designer will have extreme creativity and artistry, be self-motivated, demonstrate excellent visual communication and be someone who can provide inspired creative direction.

This is a full-time, in-house position.

WHO WE ARE: Durrani Design, headquartered in beautiful Encinitas, is a creative design agency specializing in kick ass graphic design, print and web development for clients in a wide range of industries, from the Xtreme sports world to corporate and e-commerce markets. Our office is located on Highway 101 just two blocks from the ocean, providing our team with inspiration and close surfing spots at lunch.

WHAT WE WANT: Our new designer will have excellent abilities in visual communication, typography, and artistry, and can apply design essentials to multiple mediums including: web, identity & branding, and print projects. You must be able to fit into a team environment and have the ability to switch gears whenever the client demands it. Ideally, we want someone who is active in the design / art world and has a true passion for “out of the box” thinking and is up on the current and latest design trends and how to implement them. Someone with a passion and some background in the action sports industry (skateboarding, surfing, and snowboarding).

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING IT:

  • Minimum 5 years of web and interactive design experience and strong portfolio.
  • Strong conceptual thinker with excellent design skills and great attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of print design and document specs and formatting. May sometimes be called upon to communicate with our print vendors.
  • Fluent understanding of current web, email and interactive trends and technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate effectively with all coworkers, managers and clients.
  • Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign - should go without saying.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage work to meet project deadlines.
  • Solid research, technical and visual design skills.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
