Launching an Interactive WordPress Portfolio

Challenge
…Durrani continues to be a strategic partner advising us and keeping us abreast of trends and changes in online marketing and positioning.
–Mike Bartley, COO DisplayWorks
DisplayWorks has 30 years of experience as custom exhibit developers. The goal was to rebrand them while preserving their core values. This included a new corporate style guide, identity and website design. Another objective was an interactive portfolio gallery built completely in WordPress which communicated with a custom data base. With our first focus being the short term site build we knew our long-term goal would be optimizing the site for a competitive market. Using WordPress meant we would have a good challenge ahead.
Ideas
Since DisplayWorks is the largest exhibit house West of the Mississippi we had to think big in terms of conceptual design. Immediately we decided to use a dark background color. We also took a minimal aesthetic approach maximizing the information the site needed to convey. All of this would be accomplished using the branded white and green associated with the logo.
Results
From the ground up we were able to achieve something completely remarkable. The site has drawn great praise from their loyal customers while also becoming an effective sales tool for the Account Executives at DisplayWorks. Since being on retention we have been able to give the site a pulse by providing site updates and moving it to the top of search results through maximized SEO efforts.
